Every year at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Cook-Off, the BBQ Social Club tent becomes one of the hottest spots on the grounds — a place where great barbecue, good company, and true Texas hospitality come together.
The BBQ Social Club’s infamous Black Tent & Party Area is where Texas hospitality comes alive. Each year, our space grows bigger and better — blending legendary barbecue, premium drinks, and first-class entertainment into an unforgettable Cook-Off experience.
Guests enjoy an upgraded open bar with a full premium drink selection — including our Main Bar area featuring five bars, each staffed with friendly bartenders, plus specialty Tequila and Bourbon Bars for those who appreciate a finer pour.
On the pit side, we serve an award-winning spread anchored by two 300+ pound whole hogs smoked nightly, along with brisket, chicken, sausage, mac & cheese, beans, corn, and rotating sides that could feed a small town. Dinner is served from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM each night, followed by desserts, hors d’oeuvres, and Thursday-night favorites from B&B Butchers & Restaurant, featuring truffle macaroni and cheese and signature desserts.
Entertainment is handled by our live band, The Emotions, performing every night, bringing high energy and a full mix of crowd favorites that keep the tent moving until close.
Whether you’re here for the barbecue, the bourbon, or the people — you’ll find that the Black Tent is more than a party; it’s a Texas tradition built on friendship, flavor, and full glasses. Our tent is conveniently located at the Northeast corner of the lot, near the entrance gate of Committee Street & Chisholm Trail.
